Medicine

Department of Medicine

The Department of Medicine is comprised of primary care doctors for adults and children, as well as doctors highly specialized in the many subspecialties of medicine.

We are dedicated to a higher level of care and have been nationally recognized with many awards and designations.

I’m proud to welcome you to the Department of Medicine. The care we provide our community and the region has been recognized with awards and designations. Our internists provide general medical and preventative care to adults. We also have family practice doctors who provide care to both adults and children.

When medical problems become more complex, we have highly trained doctors who assist our primary care professionals with consultation and treatment in the subspecialties of medicine. This would include the treatment of the heart, lung and digestive disorders, as well as kidney and neurologic disease. We have comprehensive programs that help diagnose and treat patients with diabetes, cancer, heart and vascular disease, sleep disorders, stroke and obesity, to name a few.

We have a team of doctors specifically trained in taking care of hospitalized patients. Hospitalists are the partners of your primary care doctors.

Our doctors work closely with advanced nurse practitioners (APRN), Physician Assistants (PA), nurses, dietitians, respiratory and physical therapists, and a full array of healthcare professionals to deliver the highest level of care here at Danbury Hospital and throughout our community.
