Every day Danbury Hospital depends on its force of over 300 volunteers. Our volunteers assist patients, staff and visitors in more than 30 areas within Danbury Hospital, including off-site locations in the community. Volunteers range in age from 16 to 90 plus, and we are grateful for their support of Danbury Hospital.
Volunteering is a great way to contribute to your community, explore a new career or put your present skills to work. As a volunteer, you directly contribute to our mission of advancing the health and well being of the people in the community in partnership with those we serve.
Volunteers...Exceptional People, Extraordinary Hearts!
This week, April 16th-April 22nd, all across the nation, organizations and communities will be recognizing volunteers for the selfless hours they contribute to enhance the lives of others in a multitude of ways. Western Connecticut Health Network is no exception to this celebration. We are grateful for the thousands of hours our volunteers so graciously contributed to our hospitals this past year.
Please join us this week by extending a hand and thank them for being those Exceptional People with Extraordinary Hearts who make things a little easier for our patients, staff and visitors.
Volunteers supplement the services of our staff, which in turn provides financial assistance to the Hospital, and helps patients and visitors have a more positive experience during their stay here.
Thank you,
Linda McGrory
