At the Praxair Cancer Center, we understand that a cancer diagnosis is a life-changing event. Our patients benefit from the latest diagnostic, screening, testing, prevention and treatment technologies and a full spectrum of outpatient and in-hospital oncologic services, along with dedicated emotional and practical support. This includes a Cancer Care Coordinator, who works with you from diagnosis onward to help navigate the sometimes confusing or overwhelming aspects of cancer treatment.

For the last 20 years, we have cared for thousands of people diagnosed with cancer, personalizing their treatment plans based on the recommendations of our multidisciplinary case review teams. Dr. Staradub is the only fellowship-trained breast surgeon at Danbury Hospital and the surrounding area. She is the Medical Director of Danbury Hospital’s Breast Care Program.

Prior to coming to Danbury Hospital, Dr. Staradub was on the faculty of Harvard Medical School and was on staff at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Dr. Staradub treats both benign and malignant (cancer) breast problems.

Dr. Sandhu is fellowship trained in interventional radiology and body imaging, offering many patients the option of minimally invasive procedures – instead of major surgeries – to diagnose and treat a variety of health conditions. His technical competencies cover a wide range of disciplines, including interventions for gynecologic, oncologic, gastroenterologic, urologic and vascular care.

Dr. Sandhu strong leadership background includes 9 years in academic radiology and extensive teaching experience. He was the recipient of annual Distinguished Faculty Awards from the Society for Vascular and Interventional Radiology from 1995-2000. Dr. Sandhu has authored a clinical textbook along with seven textbook chapters, and has served as an editorial consultant and reviewer for American Journal of Radiology and Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology.
