Adult Inpatient Psychiatric Unit
The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at Danbury Hospital provides a 22 bed inpatient unit with highly trained staff providing individualized treatment planning and programming to patients who require a safe and secure setting.
Behavioral Care Unit/Emergency Services
The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health provides 24-hour crisis intervention and consultation services to patients presenting to the Danbury Hospital Emergency Department with mental health-related emergencies. In addition, our mobile crisis services assist physicians with patients in crisis by traveling to the patient crisis site to evaluate and deliver care.
Inpatient Consultation Liaison Services
Our inpatient consultation services provide 24-hour consultations to patients hospitalized medically or surgically who require psychiatric evaluations.
Electro Convulsive Therapy (ECT)
This state of the art treatment is faster, safer, and more effective than any medication in combating severe types of depression and is available for all patients hospitalized who require it.
