Western Connecticut Home Care
The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommends that all people ages 6 months and older get vaccinated against influenza. The 2011-2012 flu vaccine will protect against an influenza A (H1N1) virus, an influenza A (H3N2) virus and an influenza B virus.
Connecticut State Law requires that all children enrolled in a daycare or preschool facility be vaccinated against the flu.
Where to Receive a Vaccine
Flu vaccines are available by appointment only on Tuesday afternoons at the Western Connecticut Home Care Immunization Clinic located at 4 Liberty Street, Danbury. Call 203-792-4120 to make an appointment.
Insurance and Fees
Western Connecticut Home Care accepts the following insurances with proof of coverage:
- Medicare Part B
- Anthem Blue Cross and other Blue Cross plans
- Anthem Medicare Advantage
- ConnectiCare, ConnectiCare Medicare Advantage
- CIGNA
- Oxford
- Aetna, Aetna Medicare Advantage
For those with other insurance carriers, the cost is as follows:
- Injectable Adult & Child Vaccine $39.00
- FLUMIST (Intranasal) Adult & Child $49.00
- Preservative Free infants under 36 months $33.00 (Limited Availability)
- Preservative Free 36 month and up $41.00 (Limited Availability)
Cash, Check, MasterCard or VISA are accepted as forms of payment. We will provide you with a receipt to submit to your insurance carrier.
