Women's and Children's Services at Danbury Hospital is committed to the unique health needs of women and children. With a program nationally ranked for excellence in Women's Health and a Level IIIB Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, we provide a higher level of care to the women and their families of our region.

As a regional resource for women’s and children’s health, Danbury Hospital brings together the expertise of multiple disciplines to create a comprehensive program that provides exceptional care to women and their families throughout a lifetime.

Women of all ages have access to a full range of evidence-based services including obstetrics, gynecology, maternal-fetal medicine, infertility and reproductive endocrinology, urologic care, genetic counseling, oncology carecardiovascular care and women’s imaging services.  The medical team provides a higher level of care at all stages of a woman’s life – from wellness programs through Spirit of Women to childbirth services at the Family Birth Center to sophisticated robotic-assisted pelvic surgery.

Advanced newborn support is available at our Level lllB Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This spring, we will open a new state-of-the-art NICU with private rooms to accommodate parents who wish to stay with their babies. The pediatric inpatient unit provides short-term and acute care. The Children’s Health and Wellness Center conveniently provides pediatric specialty services under one roof, including cardiology, endocrinology and diabetes, gastroenterology, genetics and metabolism, physical medicine and rehabilitation, and pulmonary.

Our commitment to women’s and children’s health is supported by collaborative biomedical research and a respected OB/GYN medical education program that ensures women and their families recieve the latest and finest care available.

Dr. Staradub is the only fellowship-trained breast surgeon at Danbury Hospital and the surrounding area. She is the Medical Director of Danbury Hospital’s Breast Care Program.

Prior to coming to Danbury Hospital, Dr. Staradub was on the faculty of Harvard Medical School and was on staff at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Dr. Staradub treats both benign and malignant (cancer) breast problems.
