The Institutional Review Board (IRB) committee is composed of 17 members, including physicians, hospital staff, and both scientific and non-scientific members of the community. It is supported by one full time, certified IRB Administrator.
IRB committee members provide the necessary experience and representation to effectively evaluate research that comes under its review. Specialties include:
Members are recommended by the IRB Chair and current members, and appointed by the institution’s Board of Directors. Our IRB members donate countless hours of their time to the protection of human subjects, and work collaboratively in supporting good research at our institution.
