At Danbury Hospital we are proud of our 14-bed, dedicated inpatient rehabilitation unit, where we provide warm, supportive and individualized care for patients with conditions ranging from orthopedic injuries to complex neurological trauma. Located on 7 South, our unit offers many advantages over other skilled nursing and rehab facilities, including:

  • Intensive therapy (3 hours/daily) in a medically supervised setting
  • On-site specialty trained physicians and nurses
  • Modern facilities and technologies, with private rooms
  • Complementary medicine services including massage therapy, acupuncture and animal therapies

Danbury Hospital’s inpatient physical medicine and rehabilitation services provide physical, occupational, and speech and language services for patients experiencing a decline in mobility and communication skills or who need swallowing therapy.
