Put Your Bones to the Test

Joint replacement surgeons affiliated with The Center for Advanced Orthopedic and Spine Care at Danbury Hospital, a dedicated orthopedic center devoted to full-service patient care, cordially invites the public to attend a community health and wellness program on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The topic of the program “Put Your Bones to the Test” takes place in the Gerard D. Robilotti Conference Center at Danbury Hospital. Park free in the Blue Visitor’s Parking Lot, Hospital Avenue entrance.

Featured speakers will be orthopedic surgeons John Dunleavy, M.D., Danbury Hospital Department of Surgery, Section of Orthopedic Surgery, Orthopedic Surgeon, Center for Advanced Orthopedic and Spine Care, Practicing Physician, Danbury Orthopedic Associates, Ross Henshaw, M.D., Danbury Hospital Department of Surgery, Section of Orthopedic Surgery, Director, Sports Medicine, Center for Advanced Orthopedic and Spine Care, Practicing Physician, Danbury Orthopedic Associates, and Kelly Barbaris, physical therapist, Inpatient Physical Medicine at Danbury Hospital.

Sanjay Gupta, M.D., Danbury Hospital Department of Surgery, Section of Orthopedic Surgery, Co-Director, Joint Replacement Program, Center for Advanced Orthopedic and Spine Care, Practicing Physician, Orthopaedic Specialists of Connecticut, will facilitate the evening program.

“Put your Bones to the Test” will address the latest surgical advances in total hip and total shoulder replacement surgery using proven, minimally invasive procedures that promise a quicker recovery time. The program also discusses what physical therapy and rehabilitation options are available following a hospital stay. Come ask the Doctor!
