Dr. Steven Brandwein is the Director of the Comprehensive Liver, Pancreas and Biliary
Center at Danbury Hospital. He is a gastroenterologist specializing in advanced
endoscopic techniques. His interests include EUS (endoscopic ultrasound), ERCP (endoscopic
retrograde cholangiopancreatography), Spyglass cholangioscopy/choledochoscopy, Halo/radiofrequency
ablation for Barrett’s esophagus, stenting for malignant obstructions and other
conditions of the gastrointestinal tract.
Dr. Brandwein, who received his fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, is
dedicated to the discovery and application of new endoscopic procedures. He is a
highly specialized stomach specialist. His team was the first in Connecticut to
utilize Spyglass cholangioscopy, now having conducted hundreds to date. He is an
experienced gastroenterologist offering the most advanced gastroenterology techniques.
