Welcome to the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Biology at Danbury Hospital. Our comprehensive program focuses on education, wellness and disease prevention throughout a women's lifetime, through a combination of cutting-edge research, compassionate patient care and outstanding clinical training.

Our commitment to the training of young physicians in Obstetrics and Gynecology includes providing them with the very best instruction not only in the technical aspects of the specialty, but in the unique aspects of women's healthcare.

Our doctors and nurses are committed to providing comprehensive, family-centered patient care to women throughout all stages of life. We deliver compassionate care with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to educating the next generation of OB/GYN physicians and advancing knowledge of women's health through the Reproductive Tumor Biology Laboratory located in the Danbury Hospital Biomedical Research Institute.

At Danbury Hospital, we provide a level of care found only among the most highly experienced physicians, nurses and other support staff. Our team includes recognized leaders in obstetrics, gynecology and infertility and reproductive endocrinology, as well as neonatal medicine for the specialized care of premature babies in our Level IIIB Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. All of;our physicians are board certified and dedicated to providing the best clinical care, with a special emphasis on disease prevention and early diagnosis.

Ourpregnancy services are designed to assist women before, during and after childbirth to ensure the best outcomes for mothers and their babies. The process begins even before pregnancy with maternal-fetal medicine experts and a board-certified genetic counselor to advise women with concerns or questions.

Women with gynecological and urological conditions can tap the expertise of skilled surgeons who specialize in advanced pelvic surgery, gynecological oncology and urogynecology. Our surgeons are highly experienced in minimally invasive surgical techniques, including robotic-assisted surgery.

Another important resource is the Women's Health Center, which provides gynecological and obstetric care to women who have little insurance or none at all as part of the hospital's community service mission.

Dr. Staradub is the only fellowship-trained breast surgeon at Danbury Hospital and the surrounding area. She is the Medical Director of Danbury Hospital’s Breast Care Program.

Prior to coming to Danbury Hospital, Dr. Staradub was on the faculty of Harvard Medical School and was on staff at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Dr. Staradub treats both benign and malignant (cancer) breast problems.
