David A. Bomback
M.D.
Dr. Bomback completed a fellowship in spine and scoliosis surgery, performing minimally invasive techniques to promote quicker patient recovery with smaller incisions and less muscle dissection. He serves as Medical Director of the Orthopedic and Neurosurgery Unit at Danbury Hospital. He specializes in the management and treatment of spinal deformity in adolescents and adults.
“New technology has made this an exciting time in the field of spine surgery. We are now performing artificial disc replacements, particularly in the cervical spine. New materials are making these surgical options very suitable for patients under 55, while still having spinal fusion as a viable choice for older patients with arthritis. Even in the operating room, new sophisticated devices for monitoring spinal cord function and the use of intra-operative x-rays are helping to make surgery even quicker and safer.”
