John P. Dunleavy
M.D.
Dr. Dunleavy completed a fellowship in adult reconstructive surgery following an orthopedic residency that included training in general, plastic, oncologic and pediatric surgery. He specializes in minimally invasive techniques for hip and knee surgery to promote quicker patient recovery with smaller incisions.
“Many people want to stay active longer as they age. As a result, there’s a very significant demand for joint replacement surgery. Sometimes you can add years of pain-free motion to someone’s life, whereas that would not have been possible in the past. We can offer everything at Danbury Hospital in terms of joint replacement and arthroplasty. With the most modern techniques available, we’re telling patients to expect results that will last 20-30 years. The vibrant aging population has more options than ever.”
