Procedures

Danbury’s Urological Surgery Center has been significantly enhanced with the introduction of new minimally invasive procedures. Prostate cancer surgery has transitioned from an open procedure to a robotic-assisted prostatectomy. As the prostate is deep in the pelvic space and relatively inaccessible, the surgeon with special training in robotic surgery works from a nearby console where the surgical field is magnified up to ten times the normal size. The surgeon manipulates the robotic arms of the da Vinci® Surgical System, removing the diseased prostate, and reconnecting the bladder to the urethra. Ninety-eight percent of men are ready for discharge within 24 hours.

Our urologic surgeons perform:

  • Renal Tumor Removal
  • Minimally Invasive Kidney Surgery
  • Prostate Surgery
  • Prostate Cancer Treatment
