Dr Galko Returns to Southbury

Danbury Hospital announces that Dr. Barbara Galko, Danbury Hospital Department of Medicine, Section of Pulmonary Medicine, has returned to the Danbury Office of Physician Services and the Southbury Specialty Practice located at the Southbury Medical Center, 22 Old Waterbury Road, Suite 106, Southbury.

Dr. Galko joined the Danbury Hospital medical staff in 1999 coming to Danbury from Suburban Lung Associates in Chicago. She also worked at Rush Medical College in Chicago, where she was an assistant professor of medicine. Dr. Galko specializes in the treatment of patients with pulmonary conditions that include asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, obstructive sleep apnea, and focuses on the outpatient management of pulmonary diseases.

She completed her residencies at West Park Hospital in Toronto, Toronto Western Hospital, St. Michael’s Hospital, St. Joseph’s Hospital and Toronto General Hospital. Dr. Galko also completed a fellowship in pulmonary medicine at Toronto Western Hospital. She earned her medical degree from McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
