Danbury Hospital Physicians Named “TOP DOCS 2009” by Connecticut Magazine

Wednesday, May 13, 2009 - Danbury, CT

Danbury Hospital announced that 27 physicians and surgeons affiliated with the hospital are recognized as “Top Docs 2009” in the April 2009 edition of Connecticut magazine.

The annual “Top Docs” list is based on survey results from more than 2,000 questionnaires that are distributed to physicians across the state that asked respondents to name providers they would recommend, other than themselves, to whom they would send a loved one for “expert medical care.”

Danbury Hospital’s leadership takes great pride in congratulating the following “Top Docs 2009” and extend their sincere appreciation to the 597 active attending physicians who provide a higher level of care to our patients every day and continue to help drive hospital achievement, such as our national ranking in the top 5 percent of hospitals in the country and the only health care facility in Connecticut ranked among the top 5 percent of hospitals nationwide for overall clinical performance by HealthGrades Ò five years in a row.
