Fitness Revolution To Host Fundraiser for Regional Hospice

Friday, February 19, 2010 - Danbury, CT

On March 6th , spinning on stationery bikes will be more than just excerise. Fitness Revolution is once again hosting a Spin-a-Thon fundraiser to benefit Regional Hospice. “Our event is a fun way to enjoy a work out and at the same time help the patients and families who benefit from Regional Hospice care,” says Danielle Elston, owner of Fitness Revolution.

The event features 8 hours of group spinning plus sessions on the Pilates equipment. Pilates is available for $30 a half hour or $60 for an hour. In addition, there will be a raffle for a bike and other great prizes. Participants make a donation for each class or activity and are encouraged to get sponsors. Everyone who participates receives a goodie-bag with t-shirt, water bottle and towel.

Proceeds from the Spin-a-Thon will support the programs of Regional Hospice, a local not-for-profit agency that provides home care, hospice and community bereavement support. In the past year alone, Regional Hospice cared for more than 500 patients and their families, and provided grief support to more than 950 children, teenagers and adults though Healing Hearts.

Thanks to generous supporters, such as Fitness Revolution, more than $600,000 in free care, education and community support is made possible each year. Spin-a-Thon sponsors include Fitness Revolution, Mitchell Oil, Alarm King, Maplewood of Danbury, and Equale and Cirone, along with the many event participants.

To join the fun, spin or exercise for this important charitable cause, call Fitness Revolution in Brookfield at (203) 740-0282. Pre-registration is required.
