Daisy Troop 40209 Visits New Milford Hospital
Daisy Troop 40209 recently made a visit to New Milford Hospital as part of the requirements to attain their Considerate and Caring Badge. Hospital staff in the emergency department, radiology and birthing center provided interactive tours of their prospective areas and the girls delivered handmade greeting cards to the dietary staff to be placed on patient trays.
According to Dr. Thomas Koobatian, Medical Director of Emergency Services at New Milford Hospital, “the New Milford Hospital staff feels that visits such as this provides an opportunity to help alleviate the fears children often have as patients in the hospital. Becoming familiar and comfortable with the various departments and their functions, and recognizing the compassion of the staff, reduces the stress experienced when they require medical treatment.”
