Danbury Hospital Construction Parking Advisory

Friday, July 22, 2011 - Danbury, CT

To continue to provide a safe environment for our patients, visitors, and employees during Danbury Hospital’s expansion project, effective Friday July 22, 2011, the Purple Parking Area will be closed until further notice and likely for the duration of the Garage and Tower construction projects.

The Blue Parking driveway to the Duracell ASU will remain open for surgical patients only. North Building valet parking services will continue for Pulmonary / Respiratory patients only.

The James Shaw Way main driveway may be used for patient drop off and pick-up only.

The Blue parking garage and lot on Hospital Avenue will be completely closed, and patients and visitors will be directed to park in the Red/Gold parking garages located off of Locust Avenue. Free valet parking is available at this location. All visitors are asked to access Danbury Hospital via the Stroock Building lobby.

The estimated Danbury Hospital Expansion project timeline takes place as follows:

• June 2011 - Blue garage addition begins
• June-October 2011 – Street work underway
• November 2011 – Site work for Tower
• January 2012 – Blue garage complete
• Summer 2014 – Danbury Hospital Expansion Project complete
