New Milford Hospital Honors Cancer Survivors on June 9
On Thursday, June 9, from 4 – 6 pm at The Maxx on Railroad Street in New Milford, New Milford Hospital has scheduled its 18th Annual Cancer Survivors Celebration and all of the Hospital’s cancer survivors are invited to join in the festivities.
A survivor is anyone living with a history of cancer from the moment of diagnosis through the remainder of life. Survivors face many challenges throughout the diagnosis and treatment cycles. Despite these difficulties, cancer survivors can live active and productive lives. That is why the staff of the New Milford Hospital Cancer Center is proud to celebrate with survivors at this event.
For the 2011 program, survivors will be entertained by Mary McBride, a renowned vocalist. Radiation Oncologist Joseph Bargellini, MD and Medical Oncologist Anne Chiang, MD will welcome the group, New Milford Mayor Patricia Murphy will provide the proclamation, and cancer survivor Marie Claude-Avery will discuss her cancer experience. Delicious refreshments will be served.
Each survivor is invited to bring a guest and registration is requested by calling 1-800-584-9762 or online at www.newmilfordhospital.org.
