Western Connecticut Medical Group Opens Primary Care Office in Wilton
Patrick Broderick, M.D., President of Western Connecticut Medical Group (formerly Danbury Office of Physician Services) has announced the opening of its newly affiliated primary care office at 20 Old Ridgefield Road (Map) with board-certified internal medicine physicians Ben Hur Aguilar, MD; Carolyn Couture, MD, FACP; and Arthur D’Souza, MBBS, MD. Dr. Aguilar completed a residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Jacobi Medical Center, and earned a medical degree cum laude at the University of Santo Tomas, Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, Manila, Philippines. His clinical interests include preventive medicine, management of chronic conditions such as hypertension, high cholesterol, diabetes, laboratory/diagnostic medicine, and treatment of acute infections and sexually transmitted diseases.
Dr. Couture is a fellow of the American College of Physicians. She has been practicing medicine in the Greater Danbury area since 2004, after working in western Massachusetts in association with Baystate Medical Center. Dr. Couture completed her residency at the University of Rochester, and earned a medical degree from the University of Vermont School of Medicine. She was named as a “Top Doctor” in Connecticut magazine in 2009.
Board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology, Dr. D’Souza completed a fellowship in gastroenterology from the Yale University Affiliate Program, and a residency at Beth Israel Hospital and New York Medical College/Metropolitan Hospital, where he was chief resident in medicine. Dr. D’Souza earned a medical degree from Bangalore Medical College, India. He provides endoscopy and colonoscopy services at Ridgefield Surgical Center.
