Health Network Encourages Use of Local Shelters
Municipalities Providing After-Storm Shelter Leaving Hospital Capacity for Ill and Injured
Western Connecticut Health Network is encouraging local residents affected by the recent snow storm to utilize area Municipal shelters in their communities to address their short term shelter needs. These shelters have been carefully organized for scenarios much like this community is currently experiencing and are designed to provide for the needs of those requiring a warm place to rest with basic amenities at hand. A list of area shelters is available at www.211.ct.org or by dialing 211. Shelters currently mentioned on the 211 site include:

Western Connecticut Health Network continues to work closely with area first responders and emergency management officers to provide access for those residents requiring medical assistance. In order to maintain capacity for the acutely ill or injured, the network is asking all residents who are not injured or ill, to utilize these area shelters.
