Women will also have an opportunity to schedule a mammography appointment. The cover charge for this event will be $20 for the general public; $15 for Spirit of Women members. While the proceeds will benefit Founders Hall, a donor-supported education and recreation center for people age 60+, this event is open to women of all ages
Socialize to improve your overall health and well being
Danbury Hospital’s Spirit of Women Girls’ Night Out events focus on promoting overall health for women and their families. In recognizing the social aspect of maintaining overall health, this event is geared towards women to be able to enjoy themselves in a stress free environment. With many fun-filled activities and opportunities to socialize with other women of the surrounding communities, women who attend this event will find themselves in a relaxing “girls night out” state of mind throughout the evening. Although the primary goal of Spirit of Women is to educate women about their health risks, it is the action steps that follow that are the real reward. “When you combine health information with fun and friendship, women have the power to activate changes that can positively impact the lives of these women and their families” said Denise Cocozza, Community Relations Specialist at Western Connecticut Health Network.
