Families Invited to "Eat Smart Have Fun" this Spring!
New Milford Hospital is again inviting families to participate in an innovative wellness program, “Eat Smart, Play Hard, Have Fun.” This eight-part series is designed to help families learn how to plan healthy meals, work towards a healthy weight and stay active as a family.
Each class is built around the core principles that good nutrition, regular exercise, and behavior change drive healthy weight maintenance, not dieting. The goal of the program is to help change behaviors so that the entire family adopts healthy dietary choices and engages in regular exercise.
Classes are held at a variety of location to promote family activities. Course highlights include a cooking demonstration with a professional Chef, outdoor adventures at the Pratt Nature Center, and a “Graduation Party” at the beautiful March Farms in Bethlehem, CT.
The cost for this series is $50 per family. These classes are scheduled for Tuesday evenings, April 24th through June 12th from 6:00 – 7:30 pm. Pre-registration is requested by calling toll free 1-800-482-1387 or on the hospital website, NewMilfordHospital.org.
