Dr. Steven Parks Appointed Medical Director of Corporate Health Care at Western Connecticut Health Network

Western Connecticut Health Network has named Steven R. Parks, MD, MPH, as medical director of Corporate Health Care, 79 Sand Pit Road, Suite 302, the occupational medicine program affiliated with Danbury and New Milford hospitals. Dr. Parks brings extensive experience in occupational medicine to his new role, serving nearly 15 years as a medical director and staff physician for employment-related health services in Florida, Tennessee, Ohio and Oklahoma. Board certified in occupational and environmental medicine, Dr. Parks most recently served as medical director of the main campus, chairperson of occupational medicine and director of employee health services at Florida Hospital Tampa Bay Division, and as medical director with Concentra Health Services in Nashville, since 2004. He also served as an occupational medicine physician with HealthPartners Ltd, which provided onsite occupational medicine clinics for Honda of America, Ohio's largest employer; and with WorkHealth of OhioHealth, Columbus, between 1999 and 2004. Concurrent with his residency in occupational and environmental medicine at University of Oklahoma, he worked for Saint Anthony's Occupational Health Network and Medical and Dental Staffing Inc., both in Oklahoma City.

Dr. Parks completed an internship at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, following his graduation from the University of Oklahoma, where he earned a medical degree and Master of Public Health with a concentration in occupational and environmental health.
