Western Connecticut Health Network Foundation Adds New Board Member

Monday, September 10, 2012 - Danbury, CT

Patricia Bam

Western Connecticut Health Network announces the election of Patricia Bam of Wilton to the Western Connecticut Health Network Foundation Board.

According to Grace Linhard, Executive Director and Vice President of WCHNF, the Foundation is delighted to have access to the breadth and depth of experience represented by its Board members, who understand and value the impact that philanthropy has on our organization. As we strive to increase philanthropic funds to ensure that Western Connecticut Health Network continues to bring our community the very best care for generations to come, we are honored to welcome Trisha to the Board and look forward to her guidance and participation.

About Patricia Bam

Patricia Trisha Bam is a graduate of Pace University (BBA and MBA), and grew up in Westchester County, New York. After years of working in public accounting, she began her career as the Chief Financial Officer at Foster &; Foster, a fourth generation family investment company headquartered in Westport. Trisha resides in Wilton with her husband Eric and their two children: Matt, a graduate of Duke University, and Estelle, a fifth grader at the Miller School.

Estelle was born ten years ago at Danbury Hospital, 15 weeks premature. She spent several months in the hospital's neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), and the Bam family credits the NICU staff with savings Estelle's life. There can be no doubt this level of care is the reason why ten years later Estelle is going into fifth grade alongside her peers and getting A's and B's along the way; said Bam.

Trisha and her husband have been advocates and supporters of the NICU since Estelle';s birth. They recently helped create Estelle's Eden; a rooftop garden located within the new Spratt Family Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Danbury Hospital. This outdoor oasis was made possible entirely through philanthropic support and named after the Bam's daughter, Estelle.

Trisha remains active with her daughter's school and extracurricular activities and is an active member of the Board of Directors for the Wilton YMCA.
