Danbury Hospital Renovates Cafeteria with a New Look and Great Menu Items

Danbury Hospital Cafeteria Renovation

Danbury Hospital is joining forces with Atlanta-based Morrison Healthcare to bring delicious, affordable and, most importantly, healthful foods to its newly renovated hospital cafeteria.

The new café (former cafeteria), which will debut at a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, March 27 at 11:30 a.m. is the result of a completely redesigned space and bringing in new culinary concepts that are changing the idea of what hospital food can be.

"The new café is a far cry from what most people think of as a typical hospital eatery," explains Richard Zettergren, Morrison's Director of Food and Nutrition at Danbury Hospital. "The café's offerings may surprise employees, visitors, patients and guests who will now be greeted by a brighter café and healthy, gourmet meal options that are comparable to any casual dining restaurant."

With more than 2600 square feet, the dining area seats 264 guests and will be open seven days a week. Breakfast will be served from 7:15 to 10 a.m.; lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; and dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m.
