Danbury Hospital Global Health Department Hosts Next Global Health Evening
Dr. Majid Sadigh, Director of the Global Health Department at Danbury Hospital, encourages fellow colleagues, doctors, medical students, residents and members of the community to attend the next Global Health Evening with discussions focused on Global Health issues. The program takes place on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 from 5:30-7 p.m. in the Gerard D. Robilotti Conference Center located on the 5th floor of the Tower Building. Attendees are asked to park in the Red Garage (Locust Avenue entrance). Refreshments will be provided.
Featured speakers/presenters at the Global Health Evening on May 15th are Dr. Stephen M. Winter, who will discuss "Modern Refugee Medicine: Looking for Camels in South Darfur". Dr. Winter is the chief of Pulmonology and Critical Care Medicine at Norwalk Hospital and a clinical professor of Medicine at Yale University.
In addition, Anne Lise Almira, Dr. Allison Arwady and Katrin Sara Sadigh will speak briefly about their trip to Paraiso, Dominican Republic where they helped transform an existing clinic into an inpatient hospital.
