Chronic Pain Management

The Chronic Pain Center is made up of professionals working together to provide care for individuals with chronic and cancer-related pain.

State-of-the-Art Care

We focus on the early interventional approach to pain management to minimize the development of chronic/disabling pain. This can include:

  • Epidural steroid injections to treat back and leg pain
  • Blood patches to treat headaches following a spinal tap
  • Nerve blocks to treat pain syndromes caused by nerve injury
  • Trigger point injections to treat muscular pain (myopathies)

We perform most all injections with the use of state-of-the-art fluoroscopy which provides our doctors with "live" images which increase the accuracy of the injections performed, and helps to increase the safety and effectiveness of the injection.

What to Expect

Patients are referred to the Chronic Pain Center by a physician. Once your doctor refers you, all your applicable records and test results will be sent to us.

Following your treatment at the Chronic Pain Center, you will need someone to drive you home. You’ll receive an instruction sheet that outlines what to expect when you return home. Patients are encouraged to call the Pain Center with any problems or concerns.

If you have a problem that needs immediate attention beyond our scheduled hours, you should report to the Emergency Department at Danbury Hospital.
