Neurosurgical Anesthesiology

Many of our doctors in the Department of Anesthesiology are subspecialty trained in neuroanesthesiology, which provides innovative care to our patients who are undergoing neurosurgical procedures.

Experienced and excelled care in this area requires the knowledge of neuroanatomy, cerebral physiology, effects of anesthetic agents on cerebral pathophysiology, neurological monitoring and management of intracranial hypertension and cerebral edema.

In the operating rooms, Neurosurgical Anesthesiology provides care for neurosurgical patients, including management of patients undergoing cerebrovascular surgery, benign and malignant intracranial tumors, stereotactic procedures, spinal surgery, epilepsy surgery, evacuation of cerebral hematomas and complex spinal surgery.
