Danbury Pharmacy
Danbury Pharmacy provides prescription services to the general public, our affiliated hospital corporations, outside businesses, and area medical offices.
Danbury Pharmacy opened in 1985 to serve the needs of the hospital and community. We carry prescriptions, over-the-counter medications, diabetic supplies, durable medical equipment, vitamins and nutritional supplements, Medela breast pumps, breastfeeding supplies, cards, candy, and snacks.
Our large inventory includes two lines of herbal and alternative medicines.
Danbury Pharmacy customers include:

- Danbury Hospital discharge patients
- Patients being discharged from other hospitals

- Assisted living facilities
- Outpatient psychiatric program patients
Danbury Pharmacy is affiliated with Western Connecticut Health Network, which includes Danbury Hospital. Danbury Pharmacy is located in the first floor lobby of the Stroock Building at Danbury Hospital. We have several reserved parking spaces in the front of the Stroock building and on the first floor of the Red Garage for Danbury Pharmacy customers.
Mission
Danbury Pharmacy is a for-profit venture that provides retail prescription services to the general public and to our affiliated hospital corporations. We also provide wholesaling of medication and other related miscellaneous services to the hospital, to outside businesses, and area medical offices.
Prescriptions
We work closely with your prescribers to make certain that your medication orders are safe and appropriate, and contact your insurance company and prescriber when prior authorizations or overrides are required.
Each prescription we fill is comprehensively checked to ensure for appropriateness and safety, and to identify any potential drug allergies and/or interactions. Our staff is available to discuss medication instructions and to ensure you understand your medication profile.
Danbury Pharmacy fills over 9,000 prescriptions per month. We can deliver your prescriptions and medications to your room at Danbury Hospital upon request.
Insurance Plans
