Allergy and Immunology, Department of Medicine

We provide treatment for a full range of allergic and immunological diseases including asthma, sinus infections, hives, immunodeficiency, food and seasonal allergies, and drug sensitivity.

Our board certified doctors provide a higher level of allergy care through personalized treatment plans for each patient.

Welcome to the Section of Allergy-Immunology at Danbury Hospital. It was my great honor to assume the position of the Allergy-Immunology Section Chief in June of 1999. Allergy-Immunology has a long history of excellence in the three major areas of pursuit in academic medicine: patient care, teaching and research.

The Section of Allergy-Immunology offers comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of allergic and immunological disorders ranging from the ordinary to the most challenging.

Our mission is to improve the respiratory health and quality of life of patients by:

  • Offering comprehensive inpatient, outpatient, home care and consultation services, including the most accurate and advanced testing procedures and effective medical therapies available
  • Seeking better therapies for children and adults dealing with illnesses from asthma to chronic hives through clinical and laboratory investigation
  • Supporting and educating families in the care of patients with chronic upper and lower respiratory diseases

Our physicians are committed to medical education, with outpatient training in atopic, respiratory and immunological conditions available to the staff and medical students. We are also involved in research in a variety of areas including asthma, food allergies and rhinitis.

We hope that you find the information on this web site helpful, and we encourage you to learn more about our program.
