Critical Care

Critical Care, Department of Medicine

Critical Care provides care to patients with life-threatening illnesses or injuries, including trauma, infections, complications from surgery, or severe breathing problems.

Our doctors staff theĀ ICU at Danbury Hospital and provide a higher level of critical care to the members of our community.

Welcome to Critical Care, a section in the Department at Danbury Hospital. Our staff is led by a team of board certified intensivists, and supported by a highly trained medical staff, we provide acute care to critically ill and critically injured patients, as well as patients following major surgery.

We are proud to have an Intensive Care Unit that is Leapfrog compliant, and are among just 14–15% of hospitals in the nation that conform to these rigorous standards. We hope that you find the information on this website helpful, and we encourage you to learn more about our services.
