Neurology, Department of Medicine
Neurology is a section of the Department of Medicine focused on the treatment of disorders that affect the central nervous system, or brain and spinal cord.
Our doctors work closely with a multidisciplinary team of clinical professionals including neuro-surgeons, neuroradiologists and rehabilitation specialists to ensure that our patients receive comprehensive care resulting in superior clinical outcomes.
We offer expertise in the treatment of a full range of neurologic diseases, including neuromuscular, neurocognitive, movement and seizure disorders. We are nationally recognized for excellence in stroke care, and have received honors such as:
- National JCAHO certified Primary Stroke Center
- AHA – Stroke Association — Silver Performance Award
Neurology is committed to medical education and is an integral part of the Danbury Hospital Internal Medicine Residency Program.
