Pregnancy ServicesThe outstanding team of professionals at the Family Birth Center will help make the birth of your baby a safe, memorable and comfortable experience.

A multidisciplinary team of specialists who can mobilize at a moment’s notice are on hand round-the-clock to assist women and their newborns.

Specialized Mother-Baby Care

The team includes obstetricians, maternal-fetal medicine physicians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists and pediatricians, physician assistants, lactation (breastfeeding) specialists and nurses certified in their specialties. Anesthesiologists and board-certified attending physicians are available in labor and delivery 24 hours a day to respond to patient needs.

Supportive Childbirth Experience

Our Family Birth Center offers:

  • Maternal-fetal medicine  These physicians specialize in the care of women (before or during pregnancy) with an increased risk for complicated pregnancies and deliveries.
  • Personalized delivery plans  Women work with a team including doctors, registered nurses and certified nurse midwives (midwifery) to determine their preferences and medical needs related to natural delivery, vaginal delivery or C-section. Some women choose to have a doula present during childbirth.  
  • Labor and delivery  This comprehensive continuum of services is provided by a highly skilled multidisciplinary team of physicians, registered nurses, certified nurse midwives (midwifery) and doulas.
  • Programs for Parents  Childbirth education classes, baby care classes and support groups offer information and camaraderie.  
  • Family Birth Center Tours  Learn more about your hospital stay during a tour. 
  • Center for Breastfeeding Our lactation experts support families choosing to breastfeed their babies.  
  • “Mother and Baby Talk” Support Group  This program offers women an opportunity to discuss topics, such as breastfeeding, infant care, depression and other post-partum issues following the birth of your baby.
