What is a Doula?

Doulas are professionally trained in the birthing experience. Women can choose to have a doula during their stay at the Family Birth Center. Doulas are on hand to support and encourage women and their families.

A doula sets the stage for welling with her continuous presence. She offers relaxation techniques to help women through discomfort and make sure they have everything they need during labor and delivery.
