The "Programs for Parents" series of childbirth education classes give both partners the opportunity to learn about the details of giving birth and to share their joys and concerns with other expectant parents. Instructors from the Family Birth Center can shed light on the changes that occur throughout pregnancy and can prepare you for childbirth and what to expect once the baby arrives.
Six-week Series of Classes
Programs for Parents is a six-week series of classes that covers:
- Childbirth Preparation
- Baby Care Basics
Classes meet from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM in the Robilotti Conference Center, at the hospital. The fee for this series is $200.
Childbirth Preparation Class
Programs for Parents also offers a one-day Childbirth Preparation Class. This class is from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on a Saturday. The fee for this class is $175.
There is also a two-day weekend Childbirth Preparation Class. The class is from 9am - 1pm on a Saturday and Sunday. The fee for this class is $175.
Optional Courses
In addition to childbirth preparation classes, Programs for Parents offers a Breastfeeding Class outside of the series. The cost for this class is $35.
A tour of the Family Birth Center may also be scheduled. There is no fee for the tour. To register for classes or a tour, please call 1-866-374-0007.
