Volunteer Services

The first step to becoming a volunteer is registering for a three-hour volunteer orientation and information session.

Adult Volunteers

Applications for adult volunteers are accepted year-round.

Student Volunteers

Each summer, Volunteer Services welcomes more than 70 area students, 16 years or older, to our Summer Student Volunteer Program. In addition to the summer program, we offer first-semester and second-semester programs for students who would like to volunteer during the school year.

At Volunteer Orientation, you will learn about:

  • What is expected of Danbury Hospital volunteers
  • Which medical and clearance forms you will be asked to fill out
  • How the application and interview process works
  • HIPAA, compliance, infection control and more
