Cardiac Surgery, Department of Surgery
Heart disease doesn’t just impact our patients. We recognize the important role that family and friends play in prevention, treatment and rehabilitation. We want you to be an informed member, so we emphasize communication at every stage.
Patients and their families can feel confident that while they receive high-quality clinical care, our staff also will be sensitive to their emotional needs. You will find our staff goes out of their way to respond to your needs with timely information and genuine compassion.
At the Marcus Cardiac Rehabilitation Center, we offer a variety of patient education and support programs for you and your family, including exercise classes and education sessions.
Cardiac Support Group
Danbury Hospital’s free Cardiac Support Group meets monthly on the third Wednesday of the month and offers people with heart disease — pre- and post-operative cardiothoracic surgical patients, their families, friends, and caregivers — education, encouragement and support.
