Western Connecticut Medical Group Neonatology practice is restricted to newborns and infants less than two months of age. Major clinical focus is care of newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and newborns in the well Nursery. Outpatient consultations are available for women with obstetrical complications deemed to be high-risk as well as infants for post-discharge who remain at risk.
Newborn Health Specialists are comprised of board-certified neonatologists. We are associated with Danbury Office of Physician Services and affiliated with Danbury Hospital. Our Neonatologists work exclusively at Danbury Hospital. Danbury Hospital maintains a Level IIIB NICU to care for infants who are ill at birth, many of whom were born prematurely.
