About Research at Danbury Hospital

The Medical Education and Research Department at Danbury Hospital includes a varied portfolio of clinical research initiatives that fall into three categories:

These three arms of research allow Danbury Hospital to be on the forefront of new information, so that the care that patients receive is based on the best clinical evidence available.

Joseph L. Belsky Research Day

May 2012 marked the 27th anniversary of Danbury Hospital’s annual Joseph L. Belsky Research Day, fondly named for our own Dr. Joseph Belsky who continues to be a pioneer in medical education and research at Danbury Hospital.

Each year at the Belsky Research Day, medical students, residents, fellows and hospital faculty present the findings of novel research studies conducted at the hospital as well as in collaboration with other medical institutions. This year, over 60 studies were presented and discussed.

Initiatives such as Belsky Research Day help our clinical staff refine their skills in clinical investigation and research and allow Danbury Hospital to provide the best, evidence based care to its patients.
