Danbury Hospital has been a smoke-free building for many years. To protect the health and well-being of our patients, visitors and employees even more, starting on November 19, 2009 smoking will not be allowed anywhere on the Danbury Hospital campus. In addition to being the best place to receive healthcare, we want to be the Best Place to Breathe!
For more information about how to quit smoking review our Smoking Cessation Program.
To help communicate and celebrate our becoming a completely Smoke-Free Campus, we asked the children in our community to use their imagination and draw us picture illustrating what it meant to be the “Best Place to Breathe." We received a wonderful, creative assortment of illustrations. Four entrants were selected as "winners" and received $50 gift checks. All of the participants deserve recognitition for their creativity! You can view all of the artwork, including the winners, here.
Thank you to everyone who sent in their artwork!
