DANBURY, Connecticut, March 7, 2019 — Western Connecticut Health Network (WCHN) announced the appointment of Susan A. Aloi, PhD, FACMPE to the role of Chief Administrative Officer for Western Connecticut Medical Group (WCMG). WCMG includes more than 70 medical and sub-specialty practices across 16 communities in Connecticut and New York.
In her new role, Dr. Aloi will administer WCMG’s operations, including strategies to improve quality, patient satisfaction, and alignment with WCHN’s population health initiatives. She will also partner with physicians to increase engagement, drive better performance outcomes, and grow overall outpatient services.
Throughout her 20-year career, Dr. Aloi has gained valuable operational and practice management experience in the areas of finance, employee and physician engagement, patient satisfaction, care access improvement, and service line growth. She is nationally recognized for her experience in partnering with physician leadership and transforming medical group practices to improve the health of the community. She has successfully implemented change and executed strategies to improve patient access to care by collaborating with physicians and community leaders, constructing new health centers, and leading medical group expansions.
Dr. Aloi joins WCHN from Weill Cornell Medicine where she led the expansion of the clinical practices in New York, Brooklyn, and Queens. She also successfully transformed the organization’s patient referral center and improved call center operations as well as patient access to care through complex performance improvement initiatives.

Dr. Aloi is an accomplished medical practice executive with an impeccable career of strong contributions to innovation, profitability, growth, and operational excellence across a broad spectrum of healthcare organizations. Dr. Aloi is a Fellow of the American College of Medical Practice Executives (FACMPE). She earned a Master of Public Administration from New York University, and a Doctor of Philosophy from Capella University. Dr. Aloi is an adjunct professor in the Graduate School of Healthcare Administration for Southern New Hampshire University.
