The Western Connecticut Health Network (WCHN) is pleased to announce the addition of Seamus Collins as its new vice president of development.
Based at Norwalk Hospital, Collins leads a team of fundraising professionals dedicated to realizing philanthropic funds in support of Danbury, New Milford and Norwalk Hospitals. He is also responsible for building and managing an aggressive and diversified fundraising portfolio of major gifts, planned gifts and corporate/foundation gifts to support next-generation funding priorities of WCHN.
"We are very excited that Seamus has joined our Foundation team as vice president of development," said Grace Linhard, chief development officer for WCHN, which includes the WCHN and the Norwalk Hospital Foundations. "His philanthropic leadership experience at best-in-class healthcare organizations will elevate our efforts to secure the charitable funding needed to advance the mission of the Western Connecticut Health Network."
Collins joins WCHN with more than 20 years of development experience at leading U.S. healthcare and educational institutions, including the Lahey Clinic, Cushing Academy, and centers affiliated with Harvard Medical School, Tufts Medical School, and Boston University Medical School. Collins is also the co-founder of Harvard Education Advisors, a private consulting firm serving Chinese students seeking admission to New England college preparatory schools.
A graduate of the University of Vermont, Collins is a former resident of Sterling, Mass. He now resides in Norwalk. "It is an honor to join a respected and progressive health system like WCHN," said Collins. "I look forward to playing a key role in the development and execution of philanthropic strategies that support health and wellness in the communities we call home."
