Inpatient Services

Danbury Hospital offers inpatient psychiatric care for adult and geriatric patients. Our Crisis Intervention team provides acute psychiatric and behavioral intervention for patients in the Emergency Department. The inpatient unit offers a variety of services aimed to stabilize acute psychiatric symptoms including:

  • Comprehensive psychiatric evaluation
  • Individualized treatment planning
  • Medication management
  • Group and recreational therapy
  • Electroconvulsive therapy
  • Referral to community resources

Outpatient Services

We offer a variety of outpatient behavioral health services, including individual treatment, group therapy and intensive outpatient programs. Our services treat a wide range of psychiatric disorders, including depression, substance abuse, mood disorders and many more.  A variety of groups are also available, including:

  • Addiction recovery
  • Anxiety disorders
  • Co-occurring disorders
  • Dialectic behavioral therapy (DBT)
  • Early recovery issues
  • Life skills

  • Spanish-speaking group

Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospital Programs

For people who need a deeper level of care, but are well enough to continue living at home, we offer outpatient programs that provide intensive treatment, multidisciplinary care group and individual services. Our intensive outpatient programs include:

  • Day hospital (intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization)
  • Behavioral health intensive outpatient program
  • Dual diagnosis intensive outpatient program
  • Child and adolescent treatment services
  • Crisis intervention services
